While driving downtown to find where the fire was we took photos of how dark the sky was because of the thick smoke. It was not the Madison Paper Mill on fire as we thought but the Anson Stick Mill which was across from there.
Sometimes, my life, just becomes consumed with family and my teaching life, so if you don't see me once in a while posting a photo be patient, I will be back :)
Please enjoy my blog if you're a new visitor!
Let me know what you think. I will appreciate any comments you'd like to leave :)
@Paco Díaz: Thanks Paco :)
@Judy: Sorry to say it did destroy the mill. And it was started by some teens that were in there fooling around.
@Florence: Thank you Florence :)
@The Big Guy: I'm not sure what ended up with that...but it is still there and falling apart.
@ordinaryimages: I know....here we all have scanner going 24/7 and being a rural area we all know each other and thus know everything that's going on. My daughter lives in the middle of Oakland, CA...going to school there....and you add helicopters on top of it all you have chaos.....she says you get used to it....but I'm not sure I could.
@Tracy: They have been thinking of putting a park there....but in this commercial area would be a disappointment because we need more business downtown.....there's plenty of parks and public areas around the town already....
@don: Very oppressive especially since it was very humid that day too....
@B. Thomas: Thanks Barbara :)
@Ralph Jones: Thanks
@gautam: It's called "small town common interest"....you don't always know your neighbor until something happens and then they're there for you to help you out in times of need ;)
